Silan Aslan We had the most wonderful experience at Alec’s, and a huge part of that was thanks to Ionut, who looked after us so beautifully. It was my birthday and he truly made the evening feel special — he took so much care with us, was incredibly attentive without ever being overbearing, and made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. His warmth, professionalism, and kindness really stood out and elevated the whole experience. The food and atmosphere were fantastic, but the service is what made the night unforgettable. Thank you, Ionut, for making my birthday such a lovely celebration — we’ll absolutely be back!

Daniela Drozd The vegetarian food here is honestly amazing – every dish we tried was bursting with flavour. I recommend the chilli paneer, vegetable Manchurian chow mein, and the vegetable manchow soup. Yes, the place does look a bit outdated and could use a refresh, but there’s a certain old-school charm to it that makes you feel relaxed and at home. Once the food arrives, any thoughts about the decor quickly disappear because you’re too busy enjoying what’s on your plate.

Masen Betts We had such a brilliant experience at The Swan! Huge thanks to Theo for his warm hospitality and for squeezing us in last minute. Honestly, it was one of the best Sunday roasts I’ve ever had — perfectly cooked, generous portions, and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, making the whole afternoon feel really special. Can’t wait to come back!

Jane Saunders I bring my dad here for lunch every few weeks and we love it. We are always very warmly welcomed by Liza and her team and we cannot fault the food. It always tastes fresh and the portion sizes are very generous. On our most recent visit we shared the ploughmans platter which was presented beautifully. It was delicious and so nice to have proper thick cut ham and tasty mature cheddar included. It was certainly enough for us and superb value for money. All in all I cant recommend this lovely pub highly enough and I hope it continues to thrive. We cant wait until our next visit, thank you.
