4 /5 David Simkins: A really large attractive pub, close to London Olympia. The interior is nicely appointed with dark wood furnishings, and I’d imagine that the outside space would be very popular on a warm day.
On a mid-week March afternoon it was pretty quiet, although it started getting busier after 5:30pm. Three cask hand pumps but only two on at the time of my visit, which was slightly disappointing given the number of framed real ale pictures on the walls.
The European food menu looked great, and I guess that this is the pub’s main marketing point; definitely more of a gastropub than a boozer. Nevertheless, I liked the place and friendly service, and would definitely return to eat with friends.
