Julie Jacobsen My family and I visited the Cotswolds from the United States back in June 2025, and while I’m a bit late in posting this, the experience was so exceptional I had to share. We were searching for the quintessential English pub experience, and we found it here. We loved it so much we actually returned a second time for dinner. The food was absolutely delicious, but what truly set this place apart was the hospitality. Guy, the owner, is perhaps the warmest and friendliest person we met on our travels. He took the time to sit with us and chat about our trip, making us feel like locals rather than tourists. If you want authentic charm and a genuine welcome, this is the place to be!

Dany was incredibly attentive, friendly and genuinely welcoming — he made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. John Etheridge Excellent choice for a light lunch for us. Our sandwiches were fresh, bread toasted to perfection. Our drinks were cold and the tea hot. Friendly reception and very comfortable atmosphere at the outside seating. Would stop again if in the area.

Joshua Ashton Really lovely country pub with rooms. Makes for a very nice night stay. The pub has a great rural feel, and the food was excellent quality. The staff were also superb, attentive and friendly but not fussy. We felt really welcome from start to finish. Room was comfortable, cosy and clean. We highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet cotswolds night or two away in an idyllic setting.

Tom Pauling October 2024. Just before the pub re opens in November we saw a FB add for the food they will be providing from the gourmet food shack. We had the burger box and it was banging. Not only did it look like the photo it tasted excellent! Shall definitely be going in to the pub come November when they open for sure to sample the beverage to go alongside the burger ❤️
