Neil Barnett The two Sawyers always seems to be busy, the car park full and often people sitting outside. There is good choice in the menu and the food has not let us down. Being busy the staff can be slow at times but as long as you in good company thats not a problem. We book before going as the restaurant is not local for us and we wouldnt want to drive out there and find there wasnt a table available

Maitham al jalali Ambiance: Casual, cozy dining with traditional touches and friendly chatter. Service: Attentive and knowledgeable staff, helpful with menu guidance. The food:Star dishes: Chelo kebab and tahdig showcase tender meat and crispy rice; ghorme sabzi has bright, herb-forward flavors. Highlights: Butter-saffron rice aroma, perfectly crisp Tahdig. Value: Reasonable prices for generous portions; good value on a mid-range night. Verdict: Solid, classic Persian fare with standout rice and kebabs. Lauren Kenny We had an amazing meal here, I’d recommend to anyone who’s visiting Hastings or lives there. It’s quite a small restaurant so I’d highly recommend booking especially on a Saturday night. But that added to the cosy/local feel of the restaurant. Being so close to the sea, the food here was incredibly fresh, with specials depending on what’s caught that day. Standout dishes were the mackerel pate starter and the seabass main. Delicious!

I recently hired the downstairs venue to host my partner’s baby shower and birthday, and the staff were nothing short of incredible. Big shoutout to Fred and the whole team for making the day so special! We had such a wonderful experience — everything went perfectly — and I honestly can’t wait to hire the venue again.
