Benny Goh Way Ming Absolutely great Italian restaurant. The food we had was all excellent and (Norma Paccheri, Frutti Di Mare, Sinfonia Al Pistacchio and Dolce Sfera for dessert). They have a nice dessert counter with extra things that aren’t on the menu. Definitely will be back.

Brooke Lea Absolutely fantastic. Today, I hosted a baby shower there and the team were so accommodating and welcoming from the moment I placed my booking. Really efficient and friendly team. Food was incredible and most definitely worth the money. Excellent customer service. Beautiful music playing in the background and no request was an issue. Will absolutely revisit when in the area! The Horned Heathen Had an early evening meal on a sunday, and it was really lovely! The food was great, I especially enjoyed the scallops and pork belly starter, and the beef dripping sauce with the steak was really tasty. My partner had the white chocolate creme brulle as his favorite! We were served by Freddie, who was really great, never left us waiting and checked some things for us with the kitchen, no hassel at all. Really lovely date night location. Kapil Varshney Went to Raai in Basingstoke, and let me tell you… my inner Desi Dad was VERY impressed. And trust me, impressing a Desi Dad with restaurant food is harder than passing CA exams. First of all, the prices. Arre wah! Reasonable. Sensible. Pocket-friendly. For once I ate outside without calculating ‘yeh ghar pe bana lete toh…’ in my head. Now the food: • Pav Bhaji: Perfectly buttery. Spicy enough to wake your senses but not your ancestors. • Vada Pav: FINALLY, a vada pav that doesn’t taste like mashed potato pretending to be from Mumbai. This one had personality. • Masala Dosa: Crispy, golden, and made me temporarily forget I’m in Basingstoke and not wandering somewhere in South India looking for filter coffee. • Veg Thali: VALUE. FOR. MONEY. Portions so generous even my inner Gujarati approved. Everything tasted like it was made by someone who isn’t afraid of spices — God bless them. Service? Fast. No unnecessary attitude. No one hovering around waiting to snatch your plate the moment you take the last bite. Desi Dad approves. Overall: Good food, good quantity, good prices. If you’re in Basingstoke and want proper desi street-food vibes without taking out a loan, Raai is the place. Will I go again? Bilkul. Maybe I’ll even take the kids… if they behave.

Jill Came here because restaurant down the road had a water pipe burst. Very willing to accommodate us! 7 for lunch. Great variety in the menu. Pleasant waitress. Tasty food.
