2 /5 Bethan Story: Ive had mixed experiences here over the past few years. My constant gripe is that ive never had a decent cappuccino. They serve it in a mug with a sprinkling of chocolate, but it isnt a cappuccino. Its a milky coffee with about a millimetres of foam. A cappuccino should have at least an inch of thick foam which you drink the coffee through. Milky coffee is alright, but its not what I ordered.
The food has sadly gone downhill and the portions are much smaller than they used to be. I got about 12 fries with Turkish toast yesterday. The food doesnt seem to be prepared with much thought anymore. I took a friend from out of town for brunch a few weeks ago and we both had bacon in our meals, it was so incredibly salty it was inedible. I politely pointed it out to the waitress as we paid and she wasnt interested at all, only in telling us we needed to add service as it wasnt included (I would always tip).
Sadly it seems Abraco has become more about fast turnover than experience and good food. I am happy to pay for good food, especially at an independent business, but with so much competition now on Green Lanes I will sadly be taking my custom elsewhere.
