Amalfi Beckenham - (Near Bromley, South East)

5 /5 Alex: Went for dinner after finding the restaurant online. I love italian (its my favourite!) So i was excited to go anyway. The food was amazing and our waitress was very patient and nice. I had the Arancina starter which is a Deep Fried Rice Ball (never heard or had that before) it was very tasty. I saw it come out 2 other times that night so it is obviously popular! Recommend to try that from their menu. I then had the Linguine Ai Gamberoni which is with king prawn (you can see my lil guy in the pic lol) it was so delicious, definitely the highlight of my evening. The flavour was so amazing, it just got tastier and tastier. For desert i had the homemade cheesecake - was very nice but my brother had the special desert which was pistacio tiramisu (what a great combo for a tirimisu!) and that was better recommend that if its available - sorry didnt get a snap of either desert. However I would like to explore other deserts on their menu as i feel their would be better options than what we chose also. Either way its such a nice restaurant to try, comfortable and spacious seating, nice atmosphere and the food is just so good! Go! Lol. I left feeling really satisfied and wanting to go again.

4 /5 Mr P: We visited Amalfi Restaurant on a Saturday night, and as expected it was extremely busy. Despite this, we were seated in a booth, which was a real positive — it was spacious, comfortable, and allowed us to enjoy the evening without feeling cramped, even during peak time. Service, however, was a bit mixed. Starters took quite a while to arrive, and there seemed to be some confusion among staff, with waiters repeatedly bringing incorrect dishes to our table and others nearby. This suggested a breakdown in communication somewhere between the kitchen and floor staff, which became noticeable as the evening went on. Our waitress was efficient enough but lacked warmth. A smile and a more welcoming approach would have gone a long way. She came across as quite blunt when we asked a few questions, and an awkward moment arose when we requested a kids’ menu for our niece. She assumed our niece was 12 and questioned why we needed one, which felt unnecessary and a little uncomfortable. That said, the food was the highlight of the evening and more than made up for the service issues. Everything arrived hot and was genuinely impressive. The pasta and pizza were very authentic, clearly made with care and quality ingredients. The garlic bread with cheese was particularly good and definitely worth ordering. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience thanks largely to the food and the comfortable seating. I would absolutely return, as the cooking is excellent and feels truly Italian. However, during busy periods, the restaurant would benefit from tighter organisation and improved communication among staff, as well as a slightly more personable approach to customer service. With those tweaks, it could be a standout local favourite.

5 /5 Sue Kajdi: The outside of this Italian restaurant attracted our attention when we passed by, so we booked a table to try it out. Beautiful decor, modern and authentic. Greeted straight away on arrival, and the service was amazing all evening. I started with a gin & tonic whilst my hubby had a Moretti. Our Starters were delicious, Calamari for me and Goats cheese for hubby. We both had pasta dishes for mains, generous portions and so delicious. The waiter recommended the chocolate fondue for dessert, which did not disappoint, in fact Id go as far as to say this was probably the best dessert Ive ever had. Well definitely be going back for another visit, and Id highly recommend you try it too.
