BAO Battersea - (Near , South East)

Btw the kelp noodle, the fried aubergine was on top was good but the broth...um.....is that for vegan people? No wonder....poor vegans...it was like warm buckwheat soba in Japan and buckwheat soba should not be warm! But any other things, was perfect.

5 /5 LaSer: We were craving Asian food and decided to see what was around Battersea Park, so out of curiosity we ended up trying BAO Battersea. We were simply looking for a place to eat and did not have particularly high expectations. Once we sat down and properly looked at the menu, everything changed. We ordered a selection of bao together with two noodle dishes, and the food was absolutely fantastic. The short ribs beef bao was sensational. The meat was incredibly tender, rich and full of flavour, perfectly balanced inside a soft and fluffy bun. It was honestly one of the best bao I have ever had. We also ordered the Taiwanese beef noodles, which were deeply comforting with a rich and silky broth and beautifully cooked beef. Every bite felt authentic and carefully prepared. On top of that, we tried the bone marrow noodles, which were truly impressive. The roasted bone marrow melted into the noodles, creating an intense, buttery richness that made the whole dish incredibly indulgent and satisfying. It was both visually striking and absolutely delicious. Now we already want to go back just to do a full bao tasting, because I have genuinely never had bao this good anywhere else. The whole experience completely exceeded our expectations and turned a casual visit into a memorable dining experience.

5 /5 Sara Chaves: Second time at this Bao London. 4th time overall Bao london chain, we booked the dinner for 10 people on the 31st and everyone loved it. The Bone Marrow noodles were again a huge highlight, a bit upset that there were barely any bao’s available, but was able to get a chicken bao, very tasty. The lamb dumplings were very good as well. We did order also some dishes of rare beef rump noodle soup, but wasn’t as good as the bone marrow one. Honestly always my go to at any Bao London. I didn’t like that we all had to order from one piece of paper, we were told that we could also do it through the app but needed to be all in one phone, again for a table of 10 people that’s a nightmare. They need a better system.

1 /5 JASMIN GURUNG: This was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. I understand the restaurant was busy, but waiting over an hour for our food is completely unacceptable especially when multiple tables that arrived after us were served, finished their meals, and left while we were still waiting. Not once did anyone explain the delay or offer an apology. We were basically ignored. When the food finally arrived, it was beyond disappointing. The beef noodle soup was terrible. The beef had a weird, funky taste that immediately raised concerns about freshness. The noodles were overly sticky, clumped together, and poorly cooked, and the broth was bland with no flavor at all. After waiting an hour, this kind of food felt like a complete slap in the face. The long wait combined with the low-quality food made the entire experience frustrating and a waste of time and money. There was nothing enjoyable about this meal, and it’s hard to understand how food like this is being served. Overall, this was a very poor experience, and I definitely won’t be coming back or recommending this place to anyone.
