Alex was an amazing host and even better chef, passionate about he’s craft and doesn’t believe in cutting quality with hes ingredients. I ordered from he’s recommendation and my days was I happy I listened . The bubble and squeak was elite and the grey was incredible

Mike Baker Medlar is a superb restaurant - we were so delighted with every aspect of it! Amazing quality of food, aesthetics, friendly and helpful staff - all of it, brilliant. It finds a lot Ely balance between relaxed and top quality - which is not an easy balance to strike. We wholeheartedly recommend it and would love to come back again.

Gillian Joseph Food especially the steak was exceptional, food is cooked with a lot of care and attention. The presentation was exceptional and food was hot when served. We had our own private area to celebrate a friends milestone birthday, service was spot on. We definitely come again.

Raymond S This is a really lovely cafe in the High Street of Uckfield. There is a very good selection of cakes and sandwiches. On offer are Gluten Free options for sandwiches with GF bread and some of the ddd as Jed are also GF. The staff are allergen aware and even asked if I was a Coeliac (which I am). I have visited a couple of times now and will return.
