BRIDGE HOUSE HOTEL - (Near Surrey, South East)

2 /5 Daniel Millward: If you are looking for a cheap hotel and don’t mind The Shining vibes I suppose this could be a good option. However for anyone else probably not. If you can afford to pay any more to find somewhere else you should. Rooms were a bit off, clean but not the most inviting. We were fortunate to have a lovely view of a skip outside! Lucky us. Not the worst but not the best. Close to Gatwick which is why we stayed but I’m sure there’s much better options. Overall like a 3.5/10

1 /5 Edward Grey: My partner and I stayed at this hotel for two nights on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. (We would have changed hotel for both nights if we had managed to find a room in the local area). The first room we were placed in was filthy; clearly it had not been cleaned. We were moved to a new room; this was barely acceptable. There was no hot water to the shower either. The cigarette smoke from the two weddings over those days was unacceptable. There was no parking available on the second evening when we returned and we spent some time trying to find a new hotel. Fortunately, after a hour or two, one parking space became available and we were able to stay overnight once again. We had to request a second set of towels, this despite knowing that two of us were staying. Overall, the experience was awful and we wont return. Definitely a place to avoid.

4 /5 Rich Lambe: The rooms are clean big enough for a stay reception staff very friendly and helpful the location is close to reigate and Redhill shopping areas surrounded by great countryside

1 /5 Sophie: The hotel is absolutely disgusting and unsafe for small children. It is dirty throughout and smells of stale smoke everywhere. There were rusty screws sticking out of the door threshold in the room, which my toddler could have cut herself on. I pulled it out of the floor. The door to the balcony was also unlocked with no key making it very easy for a small child to escape and fall to their death. I had to wrap a chain around the handle to stop this. The hallways were littered with rubbish and signs of drug abuse. Mould on the walls. No soap in the bathroom. Carpet was damp and I found itchy bites on my feet and ankles in the morning. We were also given different rooms because there had been an “incident” in the room we originally booked. When I asked what I was told it had been urinated in. My god what a hellhole. Never staying ever again and will tell others not to stay there. It should be demolished.

4 /5 Colin Joyce: Bit of a truck to get to, if your on foot. Shower was a bit sluggish in flow. However apart from that, had everything and from an overall perspective, was in a reasonably good location. Close enough to London and Gatwick Airport. Price was rather reasonable.
