Bubble Bee - (Near East Sussex, South East)

5 /5 Sam Nanavov: I recently visited Bubble + Bun and overall I was left with a wonderful impression. What I liked: • The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Simple interior, good lighting, comfortable chairs — a pleasant place to relax or enjoy a meal in a casual setting. • The staff were friendly and attentive. Drinks and dishes were served quickly. • The food was very tasty. The bao buns were soft and well filled, especially the pork one — juicy, flavorful, with a good balance of sauces. The Tom Yum was excellent. • Great view from the window. • Reasonable prices. Bubble + Bun is a great choice if you want to try Asian street food. The food really stands out and the service is very good. A solid 5 out of 5 stars

1 /5 Jennifer S: Im sorry to leave a negative review but we were very disappointed with the standard of food from here. The fillings in the bao buns were microwaved and dry. The filling in the dumplings was slimy and the gyoza had very little taste. I also felt the hygiene standards were low. Fillings were scooped out using bare hands, the counters were wiped using a very dirty looking cloth and hands were not washed afterwards. I really wanted this place to be great but we would not eat from here in future.

5 /5 Vincent manes: We walked into the Riverside, a place with lots of shops and eating places init and we chanced upon Bubble and Bao. We went for the pork buns, chicken tonkatsu, chicken teriyaki Bao bun and what looked like Salmon sushi roll. Oooommmmgggg. So good, pork broth was tasty but could have done with a bit more depth but after seasoning up with some chilli crunch and Soy sauce and ginger it was delicious and with the kombu it was really an interesting flavour. The rest was just amazing. Sushi is prepared after you order it and Im pretty sure the pork buns were made out of delicious Clouds. Im so going to try and get back there for the grilled Eel and anything else I can next week.
