Chango Empanadas Highgate - (Near Haringey, South East)

1 /5 Cookie Cookie: Go there if you want to experience Heartburn, reflux, waterbrash or acid indigestion. Highly recommend. Im not trying to be mean but I really wonder what the heck do they put into these empanadas? Also I felt really bad disturbing the serving lady her peaceful time on the phone, I can tell she felt offended based on her face expression. Im very sorry for that, it wont happen again, thats for sure!

She was so kind and patient, helped me decide exactly what I wanted, and even gave thoughtful suggestions based on my medical condition. It’s rare to find someone who truly cares like she does thank you, Xhuli! I also want to add the spicy chicken empanada was incredible in terms of quality and size.

1 /5 Lisa Lane: I visited Chango in Highgate last Friday, 5th December around lunch time. I had just returned from a month abroad, so I was looking forward to stopping by for some familiar treats. The empanadas were really good, and I genuinely enjoyed them. Unfortunately, the experience was not the best, as I felt like I was bothering the staff member on duty, who was checking her phone when I arrived and wasn’t particularly friendly. This made me feel unwelcome, which is disappointing because the food itself was enjoyable. While the food was good, the overall experience unfortunately does not make me want to return.

3 /5 Francesca Montanaro: Whilst there warm empanadas are 10/10. I thought i’d order some cold ones to heat at home for a small. party I was having. I ordered vegan, beef and ham and cheese empanadas and there’s absolutely no telling which is which… which proved really difficult and relatively scary for the vegans! There is also no cooking instructions available either given to me or on their website which again was a boring game. Whilst i love there empanadas, I won’t be ordering or recommending the cold ones again.

1 /5 Agnese Stradina: Stood in the cue to try new Empanadas just to be given two pieces of raw with “cook at home” instructions, telling me that they have shut the oven for the day, this was done after I paid. If I knew that they have to be cooked at home would never have wasted my money, who knew street food would be served alongside with how to cook leaflet, what a joke.
