5 /5 Stephen Holmes: What a wonderful restaurant setting and great atmosphere. The food was outstanding, the staff were extremely friendly and very good prices. Iwould highly recommend this venue to anyone and look forward to going back to eat there again.

4 /5 Steven Blench: Needed lunch before a U3A meeting so as I hadnt been here for a couple of years I decided to try Lunch there. Quite busy I luckily got a table as alot were reserved. Ordered an extra hot latte while I looked over the menu. I chose 2 starters as they would be ample fir me. Soup of the day and the black pudding scotch egg. The soup was orange, carrot and ginger which I would normally not choose. It came with croutons and slices of baguette and butter pats. The soup had a nice ginger kick the orange flavour was lost in carrot but all round good. The Black pudding scotch egg came with pea shoots and seasonal lettuce with a beconaise sauce which was cocktail sauce with small pieces of bacon rashers in ,had no taste of bacon just creamy mayonnaise. The black pudding egg was bland the % of black pudding to sausage meat was low, so not spices came through just sausage meat. The egg yolk was jellied not runny, see pictures. The service was good and very helpful with any questions I had. Not enough time to try the puddings Ill save that for another time. Both dishes were hot and the latte was extra hot.

5 /5 Ian Reynolds: We visited The Chestfield Barn this evening, and it truly felt like a home from home. The staff have always been incredibly welcoming and friendly, and the food is consistently amazing. The place itself has so much character and a real atmosphere, beautifully illuminated by fairy lights, with an open fire and comfortable sofas where you can relax and unwind. The bar staff know us so well that our drinks are often poured before we’ve even had the chance to order, which always makes us smile. I would especially like to mention Emma, who showed such kindness and thoughtfulness during our visit. After learning that I had sadly lost my mum over the weekend, she very kindly bought me a drink. It was completely unexpected and meant more to me than she will ever know. We regularly visit with our two children, Christopher and Jennifer, particularly during the warmer summer months. Sitting in the beautiful gardens while the children feed the fish with food provided by the bar is always a highlight and creates such special family memories. I’ve been coming to The Chestfield Barn for many years and have even brought my parents here, who absolutely loved it too. Sadly, they are no longer with us, but this place holds so many happy memories for me and my family. We genuinely love visiting The Chestfield Barn – it’s not just a pub, it’s a place filled with warmth, kindness, and wonderful people. Thank you to Emma and the whole team for making it so special.. 5 /5 Andy Grove: The meal was the best Ive ever had here...and we come here often! Tonight we had the special which Skate Wings with capers, new potatoes and spinach. All cooked in brown butter! The service is always good and the staff are so friendly and kind to us. Well done the chef..it was delicious. Thank you until next time!!
