Farm Girl - South Kensington - (Near Kensington and Chelsea, South East)

4 /5 Lea Vee: This place is always busy so be prepared to wait in a queue for 10-20 minutes. However I always enjoy coming here. The food portions are quite small but it is delicious. I had the apple & pear pancakes this time and they were yummy! Coffee is good too. Lots of vegan options as well! And staff was always super friendly doing my visits.

4 /5 Flossie Palmer: This place is a dream if you’re Coeliac or gluten intolerant! My partner and I popped in for brunch on a Tuesday before visiting the Natural History Museum (which is just a short walk away) and we didn’t even have to wait for a table inside. I had a cappuccino which was so delicious with the perfect amount of froth, as well as the gluten free Apple and Pear Pancakes, while my partner had the the Farm Breakfast Plate and a latte. The pancakes are naturally gluten free and were absolutely delicious - so light and fluffy and not at all cakey in consistency which is often the case with GF pancakes. The apple and pear compote was so tasty too that I’m still thinking about it days later! The menu is marked with GF options, but a waitress also informed me that they can alter other options on the menu to be GF if I liked. When ordering, the waitress also asked directly if we had any intolerances or allergies and noted down that I was Coeliac. At no point did I feel like I was a hassle for having allergies - the Farm Girl team were amazing with taking my order and ensuring I was happy with my food! My partner did note that the Farm Breakfast Plate was a bit soggy - the cooked mushroom and tomatoes meant that there was quite a lot of liquid on the plate. He also said that the Ararat Bread was quite tough and he struggled to cut it up with a knife. Overall, he reported that the breakfast was just fine, but not something he would come back for. The cafe is quite small inside and was very busy with people popping in and out for takeaway coffees in the morning which isn’t ideal if you’re sat by the door, but we were served very fast and there’s a range of seating outdoors with shelter and heaters so there are plenty of seating options outside to get around this. All in all, I would absolutely love to come back to Farm Girl again!

3 /5 Dema: I had high expectations, but unfortunately the food did not meet them. The main waiter also seemed to be in a bad mood, which affected the service experience. That said, we did enjoy the outdoor seating — the weather was lovely and the atmosphere outside made the visit more pleasant overall.

4 /5 James Gruijters: Four of us went for lunch here yesterday. It was a nice sunny day, so we sat outside. The seating area outside is ok. Personally, I prefer more comfortable chairs than the plasticky cheep feeling chairs. Also, our table was quite wobbly, which is annoying when having coffees. The Happy Hot Choc and the Blendsmiths White Choc were absolutely delicious!! These hot drinks were extremely yummy! The oat milk latte and cows milk late were also tasty. I had the late with lavender as well. Personally I couldn’t taste the added lavender. But the coffee was still nice. It was a shame that the plant based condensed milk was out of stock. I will have to come back to try the Spanish oat latte. For lunch we had the cherry pancakes, and both taco dishes. The food was really tasty and yummy. I do think the portions are quite small though. 2 small tacos seems slightly stingy. It’s a popular cafe in London, so it can be hard to get a table. When we were finished with our lunch, we were kindly asked to leave our table as there was a queue of people waiting for a table. It’s a nice place for tasty food and coffee. But if you want a proper catch up with friends without being rushed to eat vacate your table, you might want to go to a quieter restaurant.
