Tony B BONA FIDE really is the light on the other side of the street at Temple Fortune. Now they serve alcohol and have an improved outside space which seems to be a bit of a Sun trap and even more warm and welcoming then ever perfect for catching the Sun with a drink in hand. But now there’s even more reason to stop by then for a perfectly made coffee, they’ve recently been granted their alcohol licence! It’s lovely to finally have the option to enjoy a glass of wine or a cold beer, something this area has been missing for far too long. I’ve had their breakfast which is excellent by the way, but the other evening I wandered in after spotting someone enjoying a glass of wine with some nibbles and I’m so glad I did. They now stay open later, offering small tapas-style dishes a brilliant idea as well as larger dishes very tasty, that gives the place a relaxed, continental feel to visit in the evening as well. Attentive service, reasonable prices, and a welcoming vibe BONA FIDE is definitely one in this area to revisit again. Can also book for private parties. Will definitely be back more often. Matt Salt We recently visited the Isle of Wight for what has become an annual family holiday — we love the island and always look forward to returning. While staying in Rookley, we were fortunate to be just a short distance from the Hare and Hounds, so we decided to book a meal there. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome. The barman who looked after us (I’m so sorry I didn’t catch his name) was friendly, attentive, and genuinely lovely. The food exceeded all expectations. Even our children, who can be quite particular, thoroughly enjoyed their meals — which says a lot! We were told there was a different chef on that evening as the regular chef was off, so a big thank you to whoever was in the kitchen that night — everything was fantastic. We enjoyed it so much that we returned the following evening for our final meal of the trip — and once again, it was outstanding. Despite different staff and a different chef, the experience was just as good. I had the best gammon I’ve ever tasted — absolutely superb. A special thank you to Paul Avery in the kitchen, and to the two lovely ladies who served us, including Pauline. You were all wonderful, and the food was delicious. We couldn’t fault a thing and will absolutely be returning on our next visit to the Isle of Wight.

Dilara Wilkins Great fish and chips shop. Fish is very delicious and light, chips are also very good and big portions. You can call and order in advance, and pick it up.

ALAA SHAMOUT Its very delicious food. I would recommend it to everyone. Every time im there, i keep eating falafel. It tastes very yummy and fresh. But also there are more options available for you. So try it and im sure you will like it.
