Galata Restaurant & Bistro - (Near Camden, South East)

5 /5 Mel C: A great place to eat. Now on my staycation list. I have not tasted calamari like this before. No over crisped coating, not oily and very flavoursome. I enquired about the coating used and was advised it was cornflour, so hopefully that info is correct. I usually go for the octopus, which comes with chips and salad. They do get busy, but the setting along the canal makes it worth it, especially when the weather is good.

4 /5 Pierre: We popped into this local pizzeria for a quick lunch on a rainy Saturday and it was perfectly decent — nothing mind-blowing, but solid enough that wed probably return if were in the area. The place has a nice casual vibe: wooden tables, some Italian music in the background, and friendly (if a bit rushed) staff. We ordered a classic Margherita and a Pepperoni to share, plus a couple of soft drinks. The pizzas came out fairly quickly — thin-ish crust, which we like, with a good char on the edges from the oven. The tomato sauce was tasty and herby, mozzarella melted nicely without being greasy, and the pepperoni had decent spice. Nothing super fresh or artisanal like some of the fancy Neapolitan spots, but miles better than chain takeaway. One small gripe: the base got a bit soggy in the middle from the toppings, and it couldve used a touch more seasoning overall.

5 /5 Hiking In London: Bar / coffee shop by the canal with seating area outside. Perfect views and the food was delicious (and cheap being in mind we are in London!). We order calamari and were very tasty, soft and spicy. It comes with ketchup and tartare sauce. Also they have available different sauces, like mayonnaise and so… Today the terraza was fine but if the weather is good, they used to be very busy

4 /5 Great Eh: Mackerel was served with delicious fries and a generous salad, also, deal comes with a soft drink. Their Chai Iced Latte was really nice too! You can enjoy beautiful views of the canal while enjoying a nice lunch. Good place!
