Gandhi Indian Restaurant - (Near Berkshire, South East)

5 /5 Hussein Mirzai: One of the best restaruants in Maidenhead, the food is fragant with spices & aromas, I had a dish which was considered spicey but the flavours were well balanced & the dish was exceptional. The heat was never the main contender, the protein & sauce with the pilau rice were cooked to perfection & took centre stage. Portion sizes are very generous so beware, we could easily have had the chaat special between us & been delightfully full. If you are looking for something different & exciting, this restaurant has precisely what youre looking for. A great night, truely special.

1 /5 Sally Atwal: It is extremely disappointing to be writing this review having been a regular and loyal customer of Gandhi’s restaurant in Maidenhead for many years. The food has always been delicious but our most recent experience did not meet the standard we have received on all our other occasions. We ordered delivery last weekend and the website stated a 50 minute wait time. After approximately an hour and 15 minutes we called to ask how long our order would be, to be told at this stage our order was out for delivery so we expected our food imminently. 15 more minutes passed and still no delivery, we called again and was still told the driver was out and he was close. I was concerned at this stage our food would no longer be hot and I expressed this concern alongside the fact we had now waited close to double the time we were advised. I was met with no apology, no explanation as to the delay. I was offered no compensation for the delay I was simply ignored and just told the food will be there. Our food arrived about 5 minutes later which was approximately an hour and 50 minutes from the time we ordered. No apology from the driver and the food was not hot it was lukewarm at best. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. We only wanted an apology and an explanation but got neither. It is now very unlikely we will use this restaurant again. The problems could have been resolved with somebody understanding our frustration, a proactive call to say they would be late and recognition of the fact they were not providing the service they had promised.

1 /5 Xiaohang Wang Greve: Ordered Tiger prawns for over 7 pounds and received these awful tiny shrimp? What a joke. Straight to the bin.

5 /5 Abhinav Kumar: Good food across the board. Nice staff with timely service. Much appreciated. Fun quirk: Gandhi was strictly a teetotaler and anti alcohol. His birth state has banned alcohol for this reason. In the restaurant the non-alcoholic options were scarce. Not quite Gandhi in that aspect.

4 /5 Mohsin Shah - Official: Found This restaurant on Search engine and went there for early dinner. Atmosphere is good in the restaurant. Staff is welcoming and caring. Food is delicious and perfectly cooked. Salmon Tikka with some Salad is mouth watering. Portions are bigger than normal. Lemonade Glass was more than enough for one person. Would recommend this restaurant to friends.
