INIS - (Near Tower Hamlets, South East)

4 /5 Catherine ORyan Nicholson: We had a lovely early supper at Inis, our food was very tasty and service was friendly. The menu isn’t enormous, which I prefer. We shared a couple of starters, I wasn’t a fan on the battered chipped potatoes, I don’t like batter but the curry sauce was delicious. We also shared the chicken, ham and leek pie - it was delicious. It came with potatoes, which were yummy but the portion was a bit small. The salad was nicely dressed but needed more seasoning. We didn’t fancy a pudding but the whiskey’s were perfect. We will definitely go back, it was a great start to a fun evening.

5 /5 Hankos: Staff could not be nicer. We were welcomed with our dog and served the most delicious menu which included the nicest piece of fish I have ever tasted. Will definitely return!

5 /5 Beatriz Garrido: We came very early on the 2nd January on a frosty morning. The server was great, explained some issues they were having and offered coffee while waiting for deliveries to arrive. Chef opened the kitchen earlier for us and the food was perfect! Big flavours in every single element. Delicious! We’ll be back for lunch and dinner soon!

5 /5 Lucy Malabar: Lovely little independent restaurant on the canal with incredible food, a great atmosphere and the best service! Nothing is ever too much for Lindsay and the rest of the staff, especially when it comes to accommodating allergies. Would highly recommend their sausage and bacon breakfast bap and a roast dinner or pie on a Sunday! Great value for money for the quality of the food and service.

5 /5 Kevin Coaker: We were wowed by nearby Café Cecilia earlier this year, so were excited to try INIS for our anniversary dinner. For a dark autumn evening, Hackney Wick was surprisingly lively, and the team at INIS kindly found us a spot for a pre-dinner drink when we arrived 45 minutes early. First off, the three staff on duty were absolutely lovely - friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. The food was fantastic, with the Irish influence shining through in all the right ways. I had the winter salad, while my wife’s duck starter was just as tempting. My John Dory main was sublime, and the wine list full of interesting options - we chose a lovely Vernaccia from Tuscany. We’re already keen to return to try the Sunday lunch once winter properly sets in.
