Joyau - (Near Greenwich, South East)

5 /5 Heather: We moved to Forest Gate about three months ago, and we’ve come here at every opportunity. Moving from Hackney we were spoilt for choice with natural wine bars but this place tops them all for atmosphere and choice! It’s a sun trap in good weather but I can see us coming for a cosy glass of wine in the winter. The pop up chef rotation means there’s always something new to try, but in between the Joyau team are cooking up delicious small plates (the cod’s roe is our favourite). We’ll be back time and time again!

5 /5 Laura O: We popped in early on a Saturday eve and all the tables were booked out, but luckily they hold back the bar seating for walk in, which is nice. Lovely wine selection. Good atmosphere. We only had a snack of bread, butter and olives, but it was delicious. Highly recommend!

5 /5 Josh Sanger: This place is great - every time I leave I start planning when I can come back! The food, wines and atmosphere are all excellent and the staff could hardly be nicer. They offer small plates, all delicious, and wine by the glass (as well as many bottles) which changes frequently and never disappoints.

5 /5 Sam Everett: Our absolute favourite in Forest Gate and one of the best wine bars in London! We regularly visit for drinks and food and feel so lucky to have such a lovely spot nearby. Please never, ever leave FG!

1 /5 Lubo Ivan: Nothing impressive. There is a lot of potential, the vibe is really cool and the staff are friendly and chilled, but the food and wines are quite disappointing. Nothing original or impressive, very basic offering and nothing exiting. The food quality is good, but that price you are really odd to offer some unique points and I did not fret it hit these marks. Also the fact that there are physical wine menus is quite disappointing for a wine bar. They also don’t offer you to try the wine in case you don’t like it, you just have to buy the bottle.
