King’s Fish Bar - (Near , South East)

5 /5 Nick: Best fish and chips in the area. The biggest portions i have ever seen in my life, a large chips was enough for three people and there was still some left over, the cod is so big it barely even fits on the plate. 5/5

1 /5 Nhu S Mao: Ordered the food off Deliveroo and food was so bad! Savaloy was mushy and tasteless. Kids cod fillet meal, batter was tasteless. Curry sauce, watery and tasteless, chicken strips, could taste the old oil. The only semi decent thing in a fish and chips shop. Chip butty, they just threw two buns in a chip box.

5 /5 Paddy Eason: Love this place. One of the best chippies I know. Super old school, no frills. But superb fish and chips, every time. Big portions. And the chips are that perfect chip shop type - gooey in the middle, crispy on the outside. Friendly staff too.

4 /5 PH: Very nice fish and chips from here. Freshly cooked to order and well cooked - tender white fish in light batter and nice crisp chips. The fish and the chips were wrapped separately which kept the chips from going soggy on the drive home. Cod, small chips and mushy peas cost £11.50 which is a bit pricey but the portions were absolutely massive - especially the chips which could have easily fed two people. I imagine the large could comfortably feed a whole family. The standard size of cod here would be a large in most chip shops these days. I would really have preferred smaller portions and cheaper prices. It was a nice touch including a slice of lemon and a sachet of tartare sauce with the fish.

4 /5 E Phillips: Portion sizes are excellent. Good value for money. And chips are yummy - squishy style. Fish (cod) has a very nice flavour and well cooked. However batter on the fish is very greasy hence dropping the stars.
