London Apprentice - (Near Hounslow, South East)

2 /5 Poom S.: The atmosphere was great, especially on a hot day, to sit outside. Plenty of seats and very family friendly. The service was nice and efficient. I didn’t like my “vintage burger” £15 at all though. I couldn’t eat half of it. I asked for extra crispy bacon but the one tiny piece that came with the burger was not crispy. The buns were hard and dry. The beef patty had a few pieces of crunchy bits in it. I didn’t want to imagine what that might be. And the fries were so dry and hard. I will not be going back for their vintage burger, but I’ll try other dishes though.

5 /5 Charlotte V: We always have a great experience, Jamie & co are always so welcoming, watched the 6 six nations over the weekend and the staff made sure we were comfortable and screens available to watch whichever game we wanted to. Food is always on point.

3 /5 Olyden Johnson: The London Apprentice Review Communication Very Challenging We had a party of 12 for a Christmas meal. However, it was not possible for us to book more than 4 people online. After calling, they suggested I email. I received no reply to my first email. After 2 weeks I then sent the same email through to the parent company Green King. I did eventually receive one reply, but no further replies when trying to confirm our requirements. It seems the London apprentice is set up for automated online bookings for 2-4 people, but not groups that require human contact. In order to avoid disappointment or embarrassment for me, in the eyes of my group, I had to go there in person to make my group booking. As requested, I gave all the menu choices for our group, a few days before. I asked them to confirm receipt, but again did not receive a reply. Only when they called me on the Saturday to tell me they didnt have a couple of items, did i know they had received my email. Sadly, they did not have the festive burger, I was looking forward to. Which was a big disappointment. On the day, it wasnt busy at all and our table was set up nicely with Christmas decorations and crackers etc. Reviews from my party were mixed. All those who ordered the stake and Ale Pie were very happy. However, the rest were less so. My turkey roast had hardly anything on the plate. You will see from the pictures, a bowl of sauce and gravy were put on the plate, It seems to make it look bigger that it actually was. With the turkey also being borderline cold, it certainly wasnt good value for money. You select places like The Apprentice rather than wetherspoon, for a more elevated experience, where you are happy to pay more. However, you dont expect to leave hungry, after spending almost 3 times the price, including drinks. Im afraid the wetherspoon Christmas turkey dish was far superior and substantial. If it was just me, I probably would have given 2 stars. However, due to the hard working staff, free Christmas decorations and the steak and Ale Pie, I decided to be generous.

5 /5 Mel Nash: I came to the Apprentice with a friend before the England/All Blacks game at Twickenham, I used to live in the area and was back visiting from Australia. What a treat to cone back, it was busy but the service was still great and Jamie was on the floor welcoming guests, taking orders, serving and doing the bills. We commented to him what great customer service he had offered. Food of fish and Chips and steak and ale pie were delicious. I’ll be back next time I visit London. Thank you for starting our day so well and a memorable trip down memory lane.

5 /5 Batool: I booked the function room at The London Apprentice in Isleworth for a Sunday birthday party for 25 friends and had a great experience from start to finish. The booking process was straightforward and communication was clear throughout. Tatiane and Jamie were extremely helpful and accommodating. The function room was a good size for our group with nice river views, The buffet was nicely presented with a good variety, and our guests particularly loved the mini pies. Portion sizes were generous. The only problem was that one of our guests needed gluten free food which they could not accommodate, so if you have a gluten free guest make sure they know in advance. Overall, it felt like good value for money.
