5 /5 Brian Allison: A lovely meal and as it was gourmet night, £18.95 for starter, main, rice and side dish. I like a madras and this was spicy but not ridiculously so. Will definitely go again.

5 /5 Paul Cannell: So glad I found this gem of a restaurant. Clean and comfortable and so welcoming. The food is competitively priced and tastes so good delivered perfectly to the table without fuss or much of a wait. All the dishes tried so far I’ve been full of flavour with great taste. I’m really impressed with this restaurant, hence returning. Have only dined in so far, but would have full confidence in ordering a takeaway which incidentally is 10% off for collection. Also great to see the option of delivery too.

4 /5 Alan Gillett: Trying to find a good Indian in our area is not as easy as it might seem, so we decided to try the Marden Tandoori. The parking outside was limited, but we managed to park once their delivery driver left. The staff were pleasant and friendly and we were seated quickly, given a choice of where we wanted to sit. Drinks were expensive, but the food was reasonably priced. When the food came out it was good, popadoms were cooked well and were not greasy, they do charge extra for the chutney etc though? When the main came out, it looked good, the onion bhajis were exceptional along with the rice and Naan. However, my Madras curry was Lacking flavour, this was disappointing, it was bland and mild, I actually wondered whether it was mixed up with someone else’s order? So unfortunately it sort of ruined the experience for me, but like I said, the rest of the food was really good. The price was okay, not cheap, but not overly expensive either. Not sure I will return? Maybe in a few months?

1 /5 Paul McQueen: After reading the reviews of this place we decided to get a takeaway. If that was good we would have a sit down. However, we were seriously disappointed. Both Chicken Tikkas were over cooked, dry and had no flavour. It was more like a shish kebab, but a tasteless dry one. Sag aloo, same. Tasteless. All I could smell was spinach. Even the pilau rice had no taste. What is going on here? Mint sauce, bland. The only plus was you got plenty of food for your money. If I had a blindfold on and had to guess what I was eating, I couldn’t honestly say it was an Indian. It was our first Indian takeaway for a long time and we’re left with a bad taste in our mouths. That’s better than no taste at all. When I have an Indian I at the very least expect some flavour. Not a happy first time customer at all.
