5 /5 Segun: I’ve been a loyal customer of Millennium Fish Bar and Southern Fried Chicken for well over a decade, and it remains my go-to spot—especially on Friday evenings, with the occasional midweek visit when the craving hits. It’s always busy, which says a lot in itself, yet every time I walk in I’m greeted by the owner, who knows me and my regular order without asking. That sense of familiarity and genuine customer care is something I truly value. The premises are consistently clean and well-kept, and the food never disappoints. My usual order—six pieces of chicken with chips—is outstanding every time. The chicken is clearly high quality: generously sized, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. It’s excellent value for money and simply delicious. The chips are equally good—proper chippy chips done right. The fish and chips deserve a mention too; they’re well worth ordering and live up to the high standard of the rest of the menu. After all these years, the quality of both the food and the service has never slipped. I don’t go anywhere else. Millennium Fish Bar and Southern Fried Chicken has earned my loyalty through consistency, quality, and the kind of personal touch that keeps you coming back week after week.

5 /5 Jamaal Hussain: I’ve been coming to Millennium Fish Bar for decades. It’s my local chippy near where I grew up in Carshalton, and whenever I am back in England, this is always one of my first stops. I usually order a small cod and chips, which is already generous, but today I went for a large (£16) and it was absolutely enormous - so big in fact, that I actually whipped out a measuring tape when I got home (14”!) Don’t worry, I don’t measure everything that’s big. The fish was battered and fried right in front of me: beautifully golden, light and crisp on the outside, and genuinely melt-in-your-mouth inside. It was finished with just the right amount of salt and vinegar before being wrapped up, not drowned, not dry, just spot on. The chips were exactly how they should be: crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy in the middle. Atmosphere-wise, it’s a fish and chip shop, not Cheers! but even in the evening the wait is never long. The gentlemen running the place are fast, efficient, and clearly know how to work the queue and provide consistently excellent quality, generous portions, and proper old-school chippy standards.

5 /5 Lou Bee: The best chip shop! Very quick service very polite staff. Excellent portion size at an excellent price. Really delicious fish, scampi, chips and milkshakes - they never disappoint. Very clean - I would highly recommend!!
