Patrick Hall Awesome! If you want a delicious taste of Asia then this is a gem right in Tonbridge! They offer lots of different sushi options (vegetarian included), and have a build your own lunch of protein+sauce+rice/noodles = delicious! Its obviously not as cheap as a Greggs ÂŁ1 sausage roll, but its in line with a Pret/Costa and is carefully handmade food in a very nice restaurant. Check it out! 2025 update: just had lunch here again and so so good! Friendly staff and lovely food, good vegan options.

Sushi Daily Tonbridge - Kent

Jack Sparrow Sushi Daily Tonbridge is an absolute delight—once you find it! Tucked away at the back of Waitrose, it’s easy to miss if you’re just walking by, but trust me, it’s worth the detour. As soon as I approached the counter, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine friendliness from the staff. They were so welcoming and helpful, it instantly made the experience feel special. The sushi itself was fresh, beautifully made, and full of flavor. You can tell the team takes pride in their craft. Everything was neatly presented and tasted amazing—especially the salmon rolls and veggie options. It’s clear they use quality ingredients and prepare everything with care. What really stood out was the atmosphere. Even though it’s a kiosk inside a supermarket, the vibe was cheerful and inviting. The staff chatted with customers, offered recommendations, and made sure everyone felt looked after. It’s rare to find that kind of personal touch these days. If you’re in Tonbridge and love sushi, don’t overlook this spot. Just head into Waitrose and walk to the back—you’ll find a little slice of sushi heaven waiting for you. Highly recommended!

The Hungry Cow Tonbridge - Kent

Rating: 4.4 /5
Atlas Came in for lunch as I had been looking to visit for some time now. Very pleased I made the effort to come down as the food was fantastic! I had The Hungry Cow, and my partner had the Clucking Cow and a portion of fries each, including a drink each. For all of this it was under ÂŁ20 so very reasonably priced for what you get! The Hungry Cow is what a certain multinational chains signature burger which will not be named should be like. Could not fault it! The Clucking Cow was crispy chicken and a beef patty and had a kick of spice to it so it was equally good. The fries were excellent too and you get a good portion to boot. While I was sitting there were a couple of people that ordered the Smash Burger so I think I will be getting that on my next visit

Saltwater Tonbridge - Kent

Rating: 4.2 /5
Bernard Jones We are infrequent users of Fish and Chip shops nowadays - prices have unavoidably risen over the past year. However, this is by far and away the best place in town: they serve excellent quality fish, perfectly cooked in a thin crispy batter - its never greasy and soggy. Their chips are generally, but not always, excellent, they are never bad. I guess that depends on how busy they are and other factors. The good news is that the chips are never undercooked, unlike some places which have reduced their cooking temperatures in order to save on energy. The high price of fish at the supplier and high energy costs are key factors in the price of serving food these days. It seems that Saltwater has not compromised on quality. It should be remarked that they ate not at all the most expensive (in comparison with other local shops and shops in Sevenoaks snd Edenbridge where we have bought gish and chips in recent times). They have merged their premises with the chicken and chips Saltwater to make for a more spacious environment (see photo). That is a great improvement, especially when there is a crowd waiting on their order. I should add that their service is always efficient and friendly, even when there is a queue waiting on orders. They do not under-cook in order to deal with the queue. I cannot speak about their non-fish food like burgers since I only go there for fish and chips. If you have not tried them, do have a gon!
