3 /5 Zane Jonika: The hotel was clean, warm, and comfortable, but very dated. The dining room felt overwhelmingly "brown" with old paneling and carpet. Our room was tiny, showed its age, and had no television, but it was well-maintained. Drinks were overpriced, though the staff were friendly and welcoming.
We had high expectations for breakfast, as we were told it was the best full English in Richmond, but it was disappointing. The avocado and poached egg on toast came with ready-made guacamole, the full English was small and partly cold, and the continental options were limited.
On the positive side, parking was included, and the hotel is within walking distance of the town centre. Overall, it’s decent for a short stay, but don’t expect a modern experience or a standout breakfast.
