Jack King Went for the first time tonight as recommended to my wife Cat. We were greeted by Leonardo and his team. They were friendly and cheerful from the moment we walked in. They were brilliant with our 4 year old, talking to him, telling him about the food and drinks so that he felt really involved as well. The food was great, I had the Polpettone, my wife had the Naples lasagna. Both were extraordinary, the lasagna the best me and Cat have tasted. Good generous portions sizes too. Followed by tiramisu and affogato, served with a great espresso, not overly bitter with great flavour too. Will definitely be back and would love to try every item on the menu! At the end as well we were invited to see hello and pass on our thanks to the chefs which made our sons day.

Andy Shearman Just returned from a 3 night stay. Ideally positioned to explore a lovely old character English town. Paul and his staff are very friendly and approachable, nothing was too much trouble. Food was delicious, from the breakfast to lunch and the Sunday roast. Shout out to the chefs. Will definitely return if just for the kind hospitality all staff showed during our stay.

Alexander Andrews We came to this restaurant last night and it is nothing short of high class; attentive staff, a romantic vibe, exceptional food. There was nothing about the place that disappointed. I decided at last minute to tell the manager that I was getting engaged to my partner and he went above and beyond to deliver such a vital moment. I would definitely return. Thank you for a great night.

Jennifer Saggers Terrific stay! Highly recommend. What a treasure. Fantastic meals. Well-deserved accolades to their chef. I was fortunate enough to be there across a change of menus. Both were wonderful. Truly delicious. A great location and base for exploring Kent.

Sammy Gildroy 13/11/21- Another lovely lunch with with my daughter today. We’re always made to feel very welcome and the staff and service is always excellent. Loving the homemade cakes. 13/04/21- Lovely lunch at Phoebes. Good range on menu, large sandwiches/baguette/panini selection. Salads, omelette and jacket potato’s and breakfast menu before 11.30. All reasonably priced. Delicious homemade cakes, perfect with my Americano. Fantastic customer service and the owner was lovely. 14/04/21- My 7 year old daughter was so happy with yesterday’s visit, she insisted we came back again today. The food and service is excellent again and the space is Covid secure with a lovely sun trap court yard. Lots of space and social distance with a warm welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended, well worth a visit.

Joanne Dawkins Excellent Sunday roast 9.5/10. Very rare to get a gluten free Yorkshire pudding option. Beautiful beef cooked to perfection, extra jug of gravy and lovely roast potatoes. Would be 10/10 if the cauliflower cheese had been gluten free (made with corn flour rather than regular flour). Also if there was an option to buy a side dish of additional vegetables ie carrots and peas to share. I love a margarita and asked for it on the rocks which they were happy to do which was great. It’s a lovely venue and the staff were amazing as very attentive, Louisa and LJ especially. We will definitely be back, great to learn it’s also dog friendly so will next time take our dogs.
