What Clients Are Saying Sea Breeze fish and chips Brighton (GG)
1 /5 Lewis Quick: This place has been going downhill for a while but now lost our custom. We called ahead to order two large fish, we ended up being given 3 small that had obviously sat there for ages and were sooo soggy... even the air fryer couldn’t save it. Inedible. Shame as it used to be consistently good.
5 /5 Tim DW: Sea Breeze is my favorite fish and chip shop in Brighton. I find that most fish and chip shops tends to vary so much from one visit to the next, but Sea Breeze seems consistently good. Only had the fish and chips, so cant comment on anything else, but a lot nicer than almost every chip shop Ive tried in Brighton.
3 /5 Josh Scott: I ordered regular fish and chips with salt and vinegar. The order arrived not salted or with vinegar added, with a portion size thats kind of laughable for the ÂŁ7.50 price. However, the chips and fish were cooked very well and was of good quality! Really good quality! So perhaps if you go here order the large.
3 /5 Sean W: All just a bit average. The chips were cooked fresh and were just a bit pale and undercooked once served up. The fish cake tasted a bit off but was edible. The price was probably a bit more than you’d like to pay in a residential area. The lady there was a bit ambivalent to the custom too in a belly top which was odd when cooking food.
Seems a shame that this chippy like many others are run by non traditional chippie owners. If you’re in the area it just about passed muster. Not worth a special journey. Good that you could get a drink at The Greys and eat the food outside.
Harry Goldsmith Visited The Sussex Ox recently and it was a great experience. The setting is beautiful, especially with the views over the South Downs perfect spot for a relaxed meal.
The food was excellent, really fresh and well presented, and the portions were generous. Service was friendly and welcoming without feeling over the top.
A proper countryside pub with quality food and a great atmosphere. Would happily return.
Jessica Vinson We came here for Valentine’s Day with the valentines set menu (3 courses and a coffee for £30) and had an amazing time. There were warm and attentive servers who checked in with us on multiple occasions. Every course was brilliant! There was a cozy, intimate atmosphere. I would highly recommend this family owned business!
Sarah Rackliff We had a wonderful pre-Christmas meal at Rostick. Every course was delicious. Dishes ordered included scallops and meatballs to start, Steak Diane, lobster ravioli (my favourite) and veal t-bone for mains, TiramisĂą, Affogato and bread pudding for desserts. The service was friendly and efficient. I would recommend.
cm My experience in this cafe was a good one.
I had the Mexican Breakfast, a Pistachio Matcha Latte and a Green Smoothie.
The Mexican Breakfast was great.
The salsa and the beans were very tasty.
I added to the breakfast also Halloumi.
It was a fresh, healthy and delicious breakfast.
The Matcha and the smoothie was also very good.
The staff was very friendly.
Even though it was pretty busy in there, it was not too loud.
The atmosphere was very nice and pleasant.
The Starfish & Coffee cafe is definitely worth a visit!
Nicola Cunningham Really nice little cafe. Bright and colourful and the girl serving from South Africa was really friendly! We only ordered drinks and some chips to eat outside (17.08.24 about 15:25) and we were served quickly. Chips were brought out to the table for us outside so we didn’t need to wait for them. Will definitely go back - the burgers that the chef was cooking looked DELICIOUS and so did the chicken wings that we saw them taking out!
