Spread Eagle Hotel - (Near Oxfordshire, South East)

4 /5 Chris Meehan: Great location on the main street of Thame. Everyone we interacted with was very friendly and helpful. We booked two rooms for two nights. Our rooms were on the top level of the Georgian part of the building, which is the oldest part. We expected the rooms to be old and quarky. Both rooms do need some quality investment in appearance and plumbing updates. More investment could go a long way in really improving the overall quality and experience of the hotel. If we travel to the area again, I would consider staying in one of their newer rooms because the people were helpful and friendly, but would avoid the older part of the hotel.

5 /5 Lyndsey DRYELL: Great stay overall. The deluxe suite was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with a great bed and a relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was included and had a nice variety of fresh and hot options — definitely a highlight. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Would absolutely recommend and would stay again.

5 /5 Kealey Clarke: Stayed here for a week in a suite. This is a 15th Century building with lots of character, its clean and has everything you need. Parking is easily locatable directly at the rear for a small fee. The restaurant serves brilliant food and all the staff I encountered were friendly.

2 /5 Stacey Bull: The place is really dated but it is an old building. My room had a big water stain on the ceiling above the bed where there has been a leak at some point, big stain/burn mark on carpet. The bathroom had mould in the corner, and a big crack above the bathroom door. The room itself was slanted so think there is subsiding in the building. The bed itself was comfy and room was basic but clean. I only ate there once, food was ok but nothing special for the cost. I didnt go down for breakfast. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Overall not bad but could be a lot better for the money paid.

5 /5 Stacie Cole: Got married here a year ago, and it was perfect. Fast forward spent our anniversary here food was gorgeous !! Looking for a roast then spread eagle has you covered !! Crab cakes starter very tasty, roast beef with all the trimmings the beef just melted in your mouth. The hotel is over 400 years old and has bucket loads of character. Quirky , comfortable and just gorgeous. If your looking for a cold, modern been there got the t shirt hotel with a average brekki this hotel is not for you. Highly recommend.
