5 /5 George Isted: My partner and I wanted somewhere a little bit special for our anniversary dinner and Tern delivered and more. A fantastic experience from arrival to leaving with friendly attentive staff and pleasant surroundings. We enjoyed the 5 course (+ cheese) menu and it can only be described as excellent. An amazing fusion and balance of delicate flavours (especially the halibut which was exquisite) that would be hard to beat and worthy of Michelin star restaurants I have visited in the past. Thanks so much for making it a wonderful visit including the extra’s provided for our anniversary. It was appreciated and I can’t wait to come back to see what is on the menu next time! If there was any criticism I would say the lighting above the tables was a little bright for a relaxed evening setting.

5 /5 Tom Brennan: What can I say that can do justice to such an incredible restaurant? My partner and I came here to celebrate my 40th last week, and it is singularly the greatest dining experience I have ever had. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed and wowed by the staff and the atmosphere, enjoying superb cocktails in the basement, followed by an unforgettable 7 course meal at the chefs table. Johnny was incredible, answering my myriad questions as a food and cooking enthusiast with equal passion and humour. The food he and his fellow chef were able to produce blew my mind. Combinations of flavours that inspired me and made me close my eyes at the sheer genius of the pairings. Fennel in a pudding... Who flipping knew? When there is an establishment this good, being run by people who are so passionate, so at the top of their game, and so friendly and welcoming on our front doorstep I realise how lucky we in Worthing really are. Yes, it is pricey, but I will be saving my pennies so that I can go back as soon as humanly possible. Thank you to all the Tern team for making my birthday truly special, and for giving me such a memorable evening. I cant wait to come back soon!

5 /5 Carrig Connolly: Hands down the best restaurant in Worthing. Food was exceptional, overall a great fine dining experience. Showcasing local produce and wines, great style and flavours. Our visit was to East Beach Cafe whilst the pier was closed, but the experience was still excellent. Look forward to experiencing this on the pier again. Highly recommended for special occasions, will definitely come back.

We opted for the 10 course option with pairings and were delighted with our choice. All dishes were thoughtful, well prepared and beautifully presented, standouts for our group were Langoustine dish was a standout—perfectly cooked and bursting with flavour. rabbit confit snack was decadent, crispy yet soft and full of flavour venison tartare showcased technique and balance Alexanders - not an ingredient Ive had that often but the dish made them sing and made us all want to see them on more menus composed cheese course was a creative and memorable way to finish the savoury portion of the meal The wine pairings were thoughtful and elevated each dish beautifully, and the new cocktails were inventive and delicious (who knew a radish dirty martini could be so great!) . Service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive, making the evening feel relaxed yet special. Overall, Tern delivered a truly exceptional dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for refined, creative cuisine with great pairings and top-notch hospitality

5 /5 Martyn Thompson: Loved the food, service and atmosphere the first time, we had to come back 6 weeks later. Had the chefs table experience and we spent a lot of time talking with the pastry chef and the other chefs joining in, including Johnny, which added to the enjoyment. Beautiful food in every course, making the most of seasonal flavours. Stand out was the Monkfish with sweet corn and then the trio of pork (belly, cheek and fillet). But everything was outstanding. Great cocktails and sparkling wine. Fantastic and engaging service with people who genuinely seemed to enjoy their role in the evening. Cant wait to come back
