5 /5 Tomasz G: Had an awesome time at our GLS Christmas party here. Great vibes all night and ambiance is perfect! The food was delicious, service was spot on, and everything ran smoothly. A huge shoutout to Emilia, housekeeping Manager who made sure we are comfortable and welcomed. Bardzo dziękuję! Such a great place for a work party, świetna robota! Would definitely recommend.

3 /5 Craig McCarthy: The staff in this hotel were all lovely and very helpful. The view from the room was gorgeous. We ate in the restaurant one night which was very nice. However there was a problem, a big problem. The room was freezing. No radiators just a small oil fired heater. There was an air-conditioning/ heating unit but that didnt work, nor did the one in our friends room. The room was so cold my wife didnt dare shower. Without this we would have awarded at least one extra star.

4 /5 Alan Newland: The hotel itself needs some investment (lifts installed and a general refurb) but having said that, there is a lot to be said in its favour. First is that the staff were delightful - very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Second was we had a very nice room with a double aspect view of the river. It was clean, well appointed and warm - no problems. Third, is the location which is both close to good restaurants and the centre of Maidenhead but also the River Thames Path is right next to the hotel with delightful river walks in both directions. Yes, the breakfast was a bit basic but for the price, it was all pretty good value for a weekend stay. Yes, it needs some improvements going forward but I’d go back, definitely.

2 /5 Sophia Catherine: Not worth the high price I paid and really lets down Best Western. This hotel has so much potential but is let down by bad food and poor attention to detail. Several things in the room didn’t work and the air conditioning/‘heating’ constantly blew cold air and I was freezing. After negotiation I was moved to another room which was much better (and had a separate industrial heater). I was also given a small discount which was appreciated. But there’s a serious lack of attention to detail in the rooms which are lacking a lot of things - toiletries, non-slip mats, not much tea/coffee in the rooms, no housekeeping unless you book it. Staff mostly go above and beyond, but one duty manager had a “can’t do anything about your problems” attitude until I really pushed for something to be done about several issues. Food is really not good and definitely not worth the price you pay. Bar and restaurant are empty in the evenings which gives it a strange atmosphere - I wondered why it wasn’t used more, when the view from the terrace is great You have to pay a high price for parking even if you have a disabled badge (but they do have disabled parking). Be aware that it is difficult to get around the hotel if you have mobility problems - only the modern block has step-free rooms but the WiFi mainly doesn’t work there. The view from the rooms over the river should be wonderful but in my room it was behind a fire escape and dirty roof. This hotel could be fantastic if they gave it more attention to detail.
