The Alliance NW6 - (Near Brent, South East)

5 /5 Anand Roy: Having been coming to the Alliance for years, usually only for drinks, we finally decided to try the food there. We got the Black Pudding Scotch egg to start. This hands down was the best scotch egg I have ever eaten - we had to give compliments to the chef. The perfectly fried coating of pork and black pudding, the wonderfully creamy runny egg yolk was divine. This is a must have and despite the high price - £9.50, I wouldnt hesitate to get it again. I had the beer battered Fish and Chips, whilst my partner had the chicken leek and mushroom pie. Both of which fresh and clearly hand made with high quality ingredients. The food is definitely worth a try - alongside other of their excellent wines. I am annoyed that I didnt try the food before.

The menu leans into British pub favourites with finesse. We tried the roast beef and belly pork — both cooked beautifully, with crisp edges and tender centres. The Yorkshire pudding was a standout, and the sticky toffee pudding for dessert was rich and indulgent without being too heavy. Drinks-wise, there’s a solid selection of ales, ciders, and wines, and the staff are more than happy to help you find the right pairing. Service was friendly and attentive, with a genuine sense of hospitality that made the experience feel personal. What really sets The Alliance apart is its atmosphere — it’s not trying too hard, and that’s exactly why it works. Locals chat at the bar, dogs snooze under tables, and there’s a sense that this is a place where people return again and again. Final thought: If you’re after a gastropub that feels like home — with quality food, great drinks, and a community spirit — The Alliance NW6 is a standout. Understated, soulful, and effortlessly enjoyable.

4 /5 Niru Patel: Lovely traditional pub just off the beach High Street in West Hampstead. Lovely decor we only had a drink, but the food did look delicious and I will definitely go back to try it again..

5 /5 ash yap: We entered the pub quiz, which happens every Tuesday & its £2 per person. Whichever team wins gets everyones entry fee! The atmosphere was great, the host definitely made our night, he was entertaining and kept the vibes up high. As it was our first time we didnt know what to expect so we ended up last with 25.5/60... but we now know for next time! Would definitely come back and do it again

5 /5 Ilinca Cristea: Lovely pub, cosy atmosphere and great food. I recommend Tommy’s margarita, it’s absolutely delicious. The waiters were very nice and friendly as well.
