The Bargemans Rest - (Near , South East)

5 /5 Lisa Guest: If you find yourself in Newport, walk down to the harbour to The Barhemans Rest, you wont be disappointed. Such a great position, plenty of seating areas outside and in. It was quiet, but still had a lovely atmosphere. The menu was good with an excellent selection, to cater for most tastes. There was also a good choice of drinks from the bar. The staff were very helpful and polite. The pub was clean and tidy, with a great decor which suited its surroundings. Our food arrived, well presented and looked as described. I had the home cooked Ham Sandwich, it was delicious, thick cut and moist. A most enjoyable lunch and excellent value for money. Im really pleased we decided to explore Newport. This pub is definitely worth finding.

5 /5 Gary Palmer: Fantastic experience and the food was amazing.. Chicken and mushroom pie chicken burger with a couple of pints. Walked in on a very busy evening and the staff helped out to find a table.. Short wait for the food but not too long just write. Only complaint was not enough room to fit a pudding in after the huge meal. Good food, good beer and wonderful place . 100% we will be back soon

4 /5 Claire Williamson: Came here for a meal with grandparents this week, a lovely atmosphere and good energy about the place. Was a scorcher, but all our meals were fantastic! Decent portion sizes too.

4 /5 Cleo Piti: Came in as a group of 6 on a Monday evening. Staff were very nice and accommodating and our food came out at the same time even though we ordered individually. A nice touch showing staff care about the customer experience. My chicken curry was OK if not great, reminded me of ready made supermarket curry sauces. So a star deducted for that but otherwise a lovely place and I would return.
