5 /5 Danielle Ferreira Beckner: Amazing vegetarian gluten free meal. £44. for 4 people. We were all stuffed and happy, even the teenage boy! Super nice people and great service. If you haven’t had Ethiopian food, you must give it a try at The Choice.

1 /5 daniel t: Came in at 6:34 and we sat down ordered waiter said we have to wait 10-15 mins for pasta to be made and we agreed. 20 mins later another couple come in and sit and order bare in mind I’m still waiting for my food and no one giving us an update. The time is now 7:10 no food has come and then server has taken our knives and fork and put it on the other couple table and they have gotten food before us. Try call the waiter over was ignored and we walk out. Been here before lots of time but didn’t recognise the waiter or servers usually very friendly and nice today was the worst service I’ve ever got I don’t know if I’ll ever be back after this treatment.

Great hospitality with cardamom and mint tea. It was my mum’s first time with Ethiopian food and she loved it too! Can’t wait to visit / takeaway again! :)

1 /5 Sophia Olad: I recently dined at Choice and came away with mixed feelings. While the Somali food showcased some authentic flavors, the overall experience was a bit of a rollercoaster. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a rather grumpy owner who didn’t seem very welcoming. However, our spirits were lifted by the young Somali chef, who was friendly and eager to share his culinary passion with us. Our waiter was an absolute gem—his warmth and attentiveness made our visit enjoyable, especially for my children, who adored him. As for the food, I found it to be somewhat overhyped. While the Somali dishes had good quality and were flavorful, I must caution future diners: avoid visiting in the evening. The quality seemed to drop significantly, and I’ve heard reports of food safety issues that could lead to food poisoning. In summary, if youre looking for a taste of Somali cuisine, you might find some gems here, but be aware of the timing of your visit. The service staff was wonderful, but the inconsistent food quality leaves much to be desired.
