What Clients Are Saying The Crown Inn Bar & Restaurant (GG)
5 /5 Steve Langton: Tried out the new restaurant at the Crown. Had drinks in a lively bar, then an excellent meal in the restaurant. Id call it modern British, with some different touches (like the Middle Eastern spices in the Cumin Spiced Lamb Rump). Attentive service. Some quality wines on the list.will be going back with more friends soon
5 /5 Andrew McCorrister: Charlie the bar tender was fantastic!
5 /5 Nicholas Fitzwilliams: Only 5 reviews so highest time for a 6th. We came here because it was the only restaurant we could book for Sunday roast for 6 people. So glad we did. Delicious food, great service and a good place to walk off lunch. Parking available at the rear
5 /5 Georgios Adamakos: Stayed at the hotel and visited the bar as well and the restaurant for breakfast.
It is an old building so creaking noises and low ceilings are expected. The layout is a bit weird and you have to go up and down stairs to reach your room.
Free parking is available.
Free wifi available and it is decent.
Breakfast was delicious, buffet for continental and you order hot food.
Bar has some interesting beer options and a nice atmosphere.
Staff very friendly throughout.
Nespresso machine in the room
3 /5 Richard Packer: Nice room, very filling dinner (I liked the burger) & a nice environment. They were also quick to help with an issue with our room.
Unfortunately the breakfast was incredibly dire for both our days.
Greasy sausages & disappointing bacon. The highlight of the meal were some slightly above room temperature mini croissants & buttered toast.
As a bit of feedback, the LEDs under the steps in the breakfast area were quite dazzling in the dark setting & disoriented you a bit when looking for the steps.
Camilla P Coffee with a smile (pre 8am on a Sunday) from Zahair & speedy enough to catch my train! He started my day well! Thank You! (I may have got your name wrong but you know who you are!)
Mark M Excellent fish and chips, cooked fresh. Great service, nice guys, decent value. From Bovvie I either go here or the one in Kings Langley and I reckon this one is better.
Naina Clayton Had lunch at this gorgeous little Mediterranean restaurant in Amersham. Highly recommend it to all. I had stuffed peppers with rice and tomatoes.
As a side I ordered mezze. It was so fresh and tasty.
Lovely little friendly restaurant, staff were welcoming and helpful.
Music in the background, which was a pleasant change was French and Spanish. There may have been more but I had to leave to go back to work.
Highly recommend this gorgeous little restaurant.
Rebecca L A pleasant surprise at this small bistro as it serves innovative and tasty dishes, which is as good as restaurants in Central London. There were several dishes that I wanted to try, but I was happy with my final choices. I did not realise that Amersham is a ‘foodie’ town, so this visit has triggered my interest to explore more in the future.
