5 /5 Y T: Just a lovely place for dinner. I had the most delicious venison carpaccio as a starter and sirloin steak with chanterelle mushrooms as the main from the two course dinner menu for under £30. Excellent value and quick service. I like that they have a casual bar area at the front and a quieter, more intimate dining area at the back. I would recommend it for special occasions, a treat or just a little get away.

5 /5 Philip Thomas: The food here is very much a six star award. Service exemplary. I gave 4 stars for atmosphere because, sadly, we were the only people in the dining area on a Friday night. I guess all other diners were savouring the heady delights of a Big Mac! They dont know what they are missing. I would also guess that being an hotel people mistakenly have the impression that it is just that, somewhere to sleep and have breakfast before you go elsewhere. MISTAKE! If you like good food in clean surroundings with good professional service, then they The Mandolay. You wont be disappointed.

5 /5 Sue C: Tried the afternoon high tea three times before putting this up. Extremely good value for money. The presentation is amazing. Sandwiches extremely delicious, scones freshly made, dessert make to perfection. Tea selection is very good too. The staff is very attentive. Environment nice and pleasant. Plenty of parking nearby.

3 /5 Richard Radford: Service was rather distracted by a function going on down stairs. Stood for ages to get seated into an empty restaurant, waitress walked past us twice before acknowledging we were there. Once seated the drinks order (2 drinks) was taken yet only 1 turned up. Food order went better. Food was hot and to our adaptations. Recommendation to the management - dont leave junior staff to cover off the main restaurant because you have a function on downstairs Gents loos were a bit rubbish - rusty sink and random damp discarded sock
