The Windmill - (Near Lambeth, South East)

5 /5 Kimberley Shaw: We stayed at the windmill for two nights and would highly recommend it. The location is excellent, close to Clapham Common tube station. We were lucky enough to get our room upgraded which was a lovely touch for my boyfriend’s birthday. The room was great, very comfy bed, lovely powerful shower and it had some lovely extra touches such as the honesty box and mini fridge all of goodies. We also got a complimentary cocktail voucher each to use at the bar. The bar had a lovely buzzing atmosphere and was really cosy with the fire lit. There was an excellent selection of drinks. We also had dinner and breakfast here which was delicious and really good value and quality. Overall a wonderful stay and experience.

5 /5 Laura Clayton: We booked for a hen-do lunch at the Windmill Inn at the start of our weekend having flown in to London from Guernsey. We were staying near by and the Windmill staff were very accommodating when we arrived early with all our suitcases. The staff were welcoming and patient with our large group, and our drinks and food were all served in good time. They were happy when we played a couple of civilised hen party games at the table too. The food was really good! Lots of choices to choose from with different options to suit different tastes. It set us up nicely for our weekend of partying! Thank you to the Windmill Inn - we all really enjoyed our few hours with you.

4 /5 adam greaves: Great food. Reasonable prices. Dog friendly. Right on the edge of Clapham Common with buses nearby and a tube stop 5 minutes away. My favourite pub in Clapham. Lots of outdoor seating. To be clear, we did not stay in the hotel but ate dinner in the restaurant.

5 /5 Gideon: This is one of my favourite pubs. I have been a local here my whole life, and the service has only got better and better over the years while still keeping the same feel and standards. Great food, a good atmosphere, and really nice surroundings. They pour a lovely Guinness, and the sausage rolls are absolutely bang on. I also found out they are homemade, which makes complete sense. If you go for a roast, the meat comes from The Ginger Pig, which is a great shout and really shows in the quality. I am a regular here and cannot recommend this pub highly enough. Perfect on a cold winter’s day, just as lovely in the summer. A proper local and a real gem.

4 /5 Jeffs Anna (TicktheBKTlist): Visited the pub for an evening meal. Nice atmosphere and decorations. Dog friendly which is fantastic. We kept being told we had to leave the table for a certain time before we even ordered - which is fine I understand a busy restaurant. We dined very early evening, think it gets busier at 7pm ish. Would have been better service to have been told at the end of the meal “sorry you have to leave this table but we have empty tables over there in the pub” instead of just “we need this table for another reservation” as it wasn’t obvious to us at the time what was restaurant and what was pub and therefore a free table. Delicious crispy fish and chips.
