4 /5 Charles HALES: Have visited Herne Bay a few times as my sister lives here. Good walks along the front by the Clock Tower and the pier. We had fish and chips from Dean’s fish and chip shop/restaurant very good and reasonable prices. Walked on the pier stopped off coffees and took in some sunshine. We walked back to the Station for the train home.

Especially pleasing is the beautiful promenade, where you can take a leisurely stroll, enjoying the view of the sea. Clean beach, fresh air and playgrounds for children make the city a great place for family weekends. You will want to stay here longer!
