What Clients Are Saying RSPB Blean Woods (GG)
5 /5 Maggie Etheridge: Free parking here. Beautiful woodlands with many trails. Managed by the RSPB. Take home your litter and dog muck if you please.
5 /5 peter mann: Great place for a quiet peaceful walk. We did the black route which is about 8 miles. All off road. Saw a few birds, blackcap, long tailed tits, but nothing really unusual. The speed bumps on the way into site need to be watched though as even at a very low speed the car can ground.
4 /5 Caroline King-Cherne: Pleasant woods for walking. It can be very muddy in places in winter so recommend wellies or walking boots.
Keep to speed limits over bumps on the road down to the car park as they are pretty hostile if you don’t. The parking is free but the car park is not huge and the barrier is lower than most so vans that are not car based may struggle to get under(There are a couple of small areas outside the car park that a van could park if nobody else has taken them)
5 /5 Jason Lumsdon: I walked 6 miles round here a few days ago, what a beautiful place to go. Different habitats, heathland, coppiced woods & oak woodland, all very well managed with good paths & plenty of wildlife. Stunning.
5 /5 Matthew: It is a wonderful place to come for a walk. There are various trails of differing lengths. There are benches and picnic tables close to the car park, but away from the car park, there are no benches to sit and rest, so be prepared for that. The park is an RSPB reserve, and i saw many woodland birds. The area is mostly dense woodland, with a few open areas of heath. There are no toilets or other facilities that i am aware of.
