HAYTAM We come here regularly and Roshni has always been super nice and helpful. She looks so busy whenever we come in but she happily makes time for us. Todays manager was also great. I ordered the wrong drink by mistake but he was very understanding and did my refund. Mon 09/02/2026 5:45pm.

eyeduh Went to celebrate my birthday and had a wonderful time. Beautiful interior and very friendly staff. Made a reservation for 6 and the staff were very accommodating, especially Sutee who let my table borrow a speaker to play our own music. Both the starters and mains were incredible, very flavourful dishes. Curries were hefty but much appreciated portions. Would happily dine again, had a very special birthday here.

Debi Just don’t get the bad reviews. We’ve been going Ossies for years and live out of town. We come up specially for it. The goat was sublime. So much food in the container. They aren’t shy with packing it out. We sat in to eat. Found the staff friendly. Happy to give me more gravy to take my leftovers home. As just could not eat it all. My husband had oxtail with rice n peas and was very happy with it. They now take card payment as well as cash which is handy. We had some lovely chats with other customers. We’ve never had a bad food from here. If we had. We sure wouldn’t be going back. I believe you treat people how you would like to be treated yourself a bit of respect and politeness goes a long way. Remember that’s some long shifts the staff are working there !!

Himalaya Indian Restaurant, Lewisham -

Rating: 4 /5
David Goodwin I cannot give enough praise for this restaurant. It might well be one of the only true Indian restaurants left in South East London. It remains in traditional decor and has been around for 50 years. It has an enormous menu with massive variety and is very well priced. God knows where they got the chef from, but please, please keep him. The food is plentiful, well cooked and service is personal and efficient. We have eaten in many times and had takeaways and both are brilliant. No frills with the decor but the ambiance is great. Highly reccomended.

Clair Fordyce-Gray We booked for Saturday and couldn’t make it so walked in on Sunday afternoon. We were met by the manager(I think: tall guy with tattoos) at the door. He acknowledged us quickly, cleared the table that we wanted to sit at (far corner, right hand side, in the window). We were handed menus and drinks orders were taken. The coffee was served hot and was delicious. Our server, Anna, was beautiful, friendly and sincerely happy and smiling. We asked for her recommendation and I went with it- Huevos rancheros with chorizo and my partner had sausage, egg and chips. Both were delicious, beautifully cooked and presented. The service was excellent and the cost reflected that. I do not hesitate to recommend this place and will definitely be going back.
