Barmy Arms - (Near Richmond upon Thames, london)

2 /5 Halima M: I’m going to try and not be mean, but I may be in this review. I have been to the Barmy Arms for a drink and it was lovely, for Sunday lunch however, awful. The food was okay overall. I had the Sunday roast which was very basic and crowded. The chicken was well cooked but everything else was…sad. My partner had the beef and raclette pie, which was lovely. The service was fairly awful. We went looked after much. You had a bunch of apathetic teens running the place who looked so deeply unhappy to be there. This is not on them, I just wonder why they looked so sad. There was a manager of sorts in the restaurant who did not pay any attention to us but hounded the women on the other tables, even making inappropriate comments. Overall just an unpleasant experience.

5 /5 Michael Fitzpatrick: Visited after watching a rugby match in Twickenham stadium. Even though it felt like the full crowd were there at the same time the staff were very friendly and brilliant at serving. No long waits and you could even have a laugh with them, very impressive considering the pressure they were under. Plenty of seating areas and a lovely riverside setting. Didnt have food and will be revisit. Wheelchair access in the front patio area.
