1 /5 Andy Quek: Under cooked pizzas missing toppings and garlic bread base which was not mentioned. Luckily we don’t have any allergies. Long 45 min wait with nobody else eating. Poor unfriendly service. When we mentioned missing toppings etc, bar maid said oh she must of forgot it’s her first time cooking that pizza! Avoid eating here! Not even a goodbye as we walked out the door

5 /5 Janet Nerini: Our first time at the Bax Castle for Sunday Carvery. The food was excellent, fresh, hot and plentiful. Even with such a busy lunchtime the service was friendly and efficient. We were seated in the back room which is cosy and has a nice atmosphere but it is a small area and I would have preferred it to be dog free. A designated dog area in the restaurant might be better, especially for those of us that are allergic to or afraid of dogs. We very much enjoyed our lunch and will definitely return.

3 /5 elizabeth griffin: Christmas evening party. It was ok, nice Xmas decs in the lodge, but the food was not great. Two slices of overcooked turkey, hard over cooked roast potatoes, one very tiny sausage in bacon. Veggies were OK, smashed sprouts good, red cabbage good. Puddings had inconsistent sizes. Tiny xmas pud, like a thin slice, creme brulee about 1inch thick. Chocolate torte massive

4 /5 Victoria: I’ve been to the new Sunday carvery twice, it is really good. Can have any or all meats (with a veggie/ vegan option) and self-serve veg. Food is good and plentiful. Only comment is that it’s almost too successful that the carvery queue can be fairly long, but fine for anyone not in a hurry. Dog friendly venue.
