2 /5 Renee: Shocked about the portion size. I ordered a large oxtail and rice and peas via Deliveroo, and actually called the restaurant when I got the food as I thought they gave me a regular instead. Not worth the amount of money paid for the food. Not impressed at all.

4 /5 Ellen: Have to say… Auntie knows what she’s doing. I would however, advise not to go too adventurous here and stick to either jerk fried rice, or curry goat. This will guarantee satisfaction. The restaurant is a bit ship shape (generous) but you can’t help but respect value for money and tastiness.

1 /5 Ameena Raja: Awful! Ordered jerk chicken fried rice and there was literally no jerk chicken at all it was only a large box of rice. No chicken!!! Barely any sauce. The rice was so dry and woman at till was so rude and passive. Awful service and food so disappointing really wanted some Caribbean food

1 /5 Tiaa Cudd: Absolutely Disgusting Hygiene Standards – Avoid at All Costs! I cannot stress enough how appalling the hygiene standards are at Cummin up in New cross. I walked in expecting a decent meal , but what I witnessed was beyond unacceptable. This is a complete and utter failure of hygiene and food safety standards, and frankly, it’s shocking that this place is even allowed to operate. Food businesses in the UK are legally required to follow strict hygiene protocols, and this establishment clearly couldn’t care less. Where is the management? Where is the food safety enforcement? I will be reporting this place to the relevant authorities because it is absolutely disgusting that people are being served food in such unsanitary conditions. If you care about your health, do NOT eat here. This is a breeding ground for foodborne illness, and it’s only a matter of time before someone gets seriously sick. Sort your standards out, Cummin up this is beyond unacceptable.

5 /5 August Sappho: I got the £2.50 jerk rice with chicken curry. Boss was nice and she was (at the time i entered) running the kitchen solo. Smells fantastic whenever you walk pass and tastes even better than it smells. Rich, flavourful, seasoned juicy. Very clearly slowcooked bone-in so you get all the flavour and she gives a damn good portion, no skimping. There was a small wait but again she was managing kitchen and customers by herself and it was 1000% worth the wait. Will be coming back to try the curry goat and oxtail. Warming home-cook style comforting food tastes like something a relative would cook you or a neighbour would send to your house as a social offering.
