I have been blessed with having the chance of eating in some amazing restaurants from the Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons to the Burj Khalifa. But these places are diamonds that the world can see. The drift is still hidden tucked away in a little sea side town. A little secret where its food does all the shining. A visit is a must, tuck yourself into this family run restaurant, and be prepared for the dishes to wow you. From the oysters to the backed cheesecake everything fresh and handled by the chef with grace and care. You will love it!

5 /5 Alfie Oliver: Seriously great restaurant. get on this. We had all the vegetarian choices and they were all inventive and delicious. The white choc cheesecake for dessert was unreal as well. Service was attentive and friendly. A lot of care has gone into every part of this restaurant

Tucked away on Oxford Street, this tiny little spot already feels like one of those places people will be talking about a lot very soon. It’s small, relaxed, and has that effortless, intimate vibe that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. The food was seriously impressive — thoughtful, well put together, and full of flavour without trying too hard. You can tell there’s real care behind what’s coming out of the kitchen. It’s the kind of menu where you want to try everything. Service felt warm and genuine, not over the top — just the right balance that makes the whole experience feel personal rather than polished-for-show. Whitstable has no shortage of great places to eat, but this feels different. New, exciting, and still under the radar. If you’re in town, go now — before everyone else catches on.
