1 /5 Dr Anna Preston: My partner and I ordered from here at 6:25pm. The app said food was on its way 7:05, with latest delivery 7:20. I rang the restaurant at 7:40, they said it’s not actually on its way, it’s still ready and waiting for someone to deliver it and it would be another 12 minutes. 1 hour 10 mins later, still not here. Couldn’t get hold of them again, tried and tried nonstop to ring, but they’d obviously taken the phone off the hook. We found someone to drive 20 mins to the restaurant. Eventually whilst there, at 9:25pm (3 hours after order) they gave some food to take away but once we opened it, it was so cold, it was inedible. They still took a fee for delivery!
Even if they had said sorry, and cancelled our order and gave our money back, then we would have known to order from another place before too late in the evening. Instead, we waited a total of three hours and got cold food but still no delivery. This place needs to be more realistic in what they can promise, and manage the orders they take accordingly, and be honest and open with customers who have already paid good money, instead of taking the phone off the hook/blocking calls, leaving people in limbo waiting, and completely avoiding having to say sorry. It is a shame as we’d used them before and the curry was good but now we and our friends will be reluctant to use them again incase the food never arrives.
