4 /5 Nicolas: Went on Tuesday for the Tight Tuesday menu. Excellent food and good value! Good vibes inside as well, basically full booked for a Tuesday. Service was a bit too quick at times and bit too slow at others. The wine is a bit pricey, but nice. Would go back!

5 /5 Rosie H: Visited freak scene last week for the 2-4-1 tasting menu, the food did not disappoint. My favourite items off the super freak menu were the duck red curry and the artichoke chopsticks, but all dishes were delicious. Olivia, their new manager, is a wonderful host and made our evening so special!

4 /5 Fredi C: The food was delicious and service was great. We went on a night they had serving staff call in sick and the whole front of house was run by one person, who was warm and attentive. The service was good but understandably slower. The food was delicious and a true highlight. The decor/ ambiance is the issue - this is very much a cool but rather expensive neighbourhood restaurant is what it is.

3 /5 pmqgw t: I’m honestly unsure how to rate Freak Scene. First off, the booking experience was terrible. The booking website was down so I called the restaurant, then told to text my booking request. I did so immediately, received no response, followed up, received a response two days later, then asked one query. Which, you guessed it, never received a response. Our reception at the restaurant was OK. The waiters/waitresses were brisk and not entirely welcoming….. one woman reminded us multiple times throughout the meal that all table could only be occupied for 90 minutes (meanwhile, we ordered and ate so quickly that we did end up leaving early). From the booking experience to paying the bill, we felt like more of a nuisance than a paying customer. The saving grace here was the food. We ordered a sharing set menu, which was sublime. Every dish was special and high quality, with wonderful depth of flavour. Did the fabulous food make up for the otherwise bad customer service experience? I’m honestly not sure.
