5 /5 Joanna: Outstanding service, ambience and food. If I could give 10 stars I would. I went from north London to here to try on a recommendation and I have to say I wasnt disappointed.. Vas and his team were amazing. No rush in ordering despite being a busy Sunday, Fathers Day. We didnt know what to choose as there were some delicious items on the menu. A special Fathers Day menu too. We went for mixed grill for 2, crispy duck salad and mains were roast lamb, mixed grill and beef stifado. The pictures do not give it justice for the taste and flavours. We will return and I so recommend if youre in the area or fancy a day out whilst visiting Surrey try Galu. Thank you all at Galu.

5 /5 Nael Clarke: We enjoyed an excellent Christmas Lunch. It was the first time we had ever dined out in place of cooking. The service was attentive and friendly. The Galu Restaurant enjoys a good reputation and loyal clientele for a good reason- outstanding food and ambience. Its a high class venue . The garlic and chilli king prawns were delicious. The kleftiko the most delicious I have ever tasted. My family became somewhat full after 2 courses. I tried some of their sea bass and roast turkey- all excellent. The date and toffee pudding was light and fluffy , exquisite flavours. A 10/10.

2 /5 Cheridene Howieson: *update - I actually visited this restaurant as a child, and found out it was always serving unique Cyprus & Italian platters! Grandparents convinced me the food back then was much better than my most recent experience. Sharing an old photo! Below average and overpriced. Menu was paper stapled together; just seems lazy. Mediterranean or Italian? Staff were friendly enough and accommodating. However, I felt that there is much better quality and value for money elsewhere.

1 /5 namaste steven: Poor value for money, I ordered the lamb souvlaki with chunky chips on the side. £6 for the chunky chips hardly a potatoes worth smallest serving Ive ever had anywhere. The lamb well was tough as old boots and tiny dehydrated chunks . I asked for two gin and tonic s and ended up paying for two large gins of which I didnt ask for. Sorry I dont normally leave a review I take it on the chin but it played on my mind . Lovely restaurant but the food is dreadful. Definitely wont be returning
