5 /5 Randy J: Found this gem of an Italian in new Barnet, after careful reasoning of ending the night on a high we decided to go to Grandi Morsi and it was a very good decision, we was welcomed with warm smiles and an inviting energy once sat down we asked for recommendations and was told a simple answer .... Everything! We laughed but came to find out it was no joke.
In the end we shared a cozza alla marinara, absolutely the best mussels Ive ever had in the best sauce and was accompanied by some lovely toasted type of flatbread. Our waitress Amanda who I have to shout out for a 11/10 masterclass in customer service was helpful throughout funny and entertained our seemingly bizarre questions she also gave us extra toasted flatbread to soak up the last of the lovely sauce.
Onto the mains I went with the seabass which again no exaggeration the best Ive ever had at an Italian, the choice of roasted veg with the rosemary potatoes in the sage sauce was sublime and I enjoyed it so much, I dont mind bones but dont remember having to pick any out and the rosemary gave it that extra taste. The other main ordered was a creamy salmon tagliatelle and that seemed to go down a treat as well I certainly liked the taster I had.
It was all finished off with a limoncello and it was a good way to end the night!
Cant wait to try the ribeye Amanda, and thanks for all your help in meal choices and an overall A star service, also see you soon for brunch!!
