5 /5 Corin Rice: I come in quite regularly to this pub. Fantastic food, fantastic service and brilliant quality all round. The staff are exceptional, Sarah always manages with a smile and is a friendly face to see. She is truly a credit to the pub and hospitality as a whole.

Our server, Ali, was absolutely excellent — experienced, attentive, and friendly, which made the visit even more enjoyable. I ordered a burger, and it was phenomenal — perfectly cooked, packed with flavour, and presented beautifully. Honestly one of the best pub burgers I’ve had in a long time! The atmosphere was relaxed yet lively, making it a great spot for both a casual meal and a night out. Overall, brilliant service, delicious food, and a warm vibe. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a proper pub experience.

4 /5 Oliver D: Huge pub, still bigger menu, all (even drinks) incredibly cheap. This is no gastropub, but if what youre after is cheap and cheerful, it fits the bill perfectly. Avoid the beef pie, though, the pastry might be made with concrete and the filling is 99% gravy.

I thought its important to mention: I have recently been visiting this pub on a weekly basis and have found it to be very clean, comfortable, warm (especially important in these cold wintery days of November), and friendly. The food is very good and also cheap. The reason why I reviewed today is, I really appreciated seeing someone wiping down & cleaning the menus which I have never in my 59 years seen in any pub . Young Alec was happily keeping all the menus and tables fresh and ready for people to turn up as well as serving at the bar. They also offered me the festive menu to look at, which is now available and I thought that was a very smart sales move. Well done. I particularly enjoyed finding a comfortable , warm chair and table in front of the fireplace (not real fire but nice and warm). Will be bringing my grandson here for the fun & affordabe childrens menu soon.
