1 /5 Noisette Jones: Ive just looked at the reviews for this restaurant and all the bad ones get a very sarky and unapologetic reply from the management so bring it on,. Im waiting to be told I dont know what I am talking about. We have been here before, but the other night we visited with guests, and the food was nothing short of appalling. We were so embarrassed. I honestly dont know how they has the nerve to offer up dishes of this quality, and frankly at a premium cost. Lazy, lazy, lazy cooking. Three out of the five pastas went back to the kitchen only 1/3 eaten which should have raised alarm bells. The Vitello alla Milanese was sour, dry, hard and oily and my daughter said she couldnt get the rancid oil taste out of her mouth all evening. It was of course left. Tomatoes as part of the starter were hard and pale and looked like something from the chiller dept of a low cost supermarket so even basic produce is bad and they dont seem have the wit or will to work around what is currently good and in season. (Incidentally one reviewer has already been rather tartly told its midwinter what do you expect - I would expect you dont use these if they are out of season and substitute something else). Total cost with only three of us having a single glass of wine was over ÂŁ300 for 6, a bill we picked up as we were so embarrassed to have taken guests there. Never returning.
