Emily Weiner Great spot for breakfast or brunch just a short walk from the underground station and British Museum! The atmosphere is lovely and we enjoyed our brunch - highly recommend the lamb kafta with a fried egg. My mom was very excited to find a filtered coffee.
brockleys rock

Brockleys Rock - Lewisham

Rating: 4.5 /5
Wriggly Bottom I have just got home from my our visit to Brockeys Rock. I can only highly recommend this place. It was excellent. As we walked in we saw a notice that they are doing a special offer on a small Saithe & Chips. Not knowing what siathe is, we asked and the young girl behind the counter explained it fully. ÂŁ8.95....a good price. I would tell friends to visit. It is a worthy winner of all its awards and definitely its place in this years top 10 of the NFFF chip shop awards. A good selection of fish etc, well presented and very friendly staff. Even the owner came and chatted with us.
posadero lounge

Posadero Lounge - Surrey

Rating: 4.1 /5
Gergana Koleva Went to Posadero Lounge today with my colleagues for a Christmas meal and it was a fantastic experience overall. Although I don’t have any photos, the food was excellent and the service was spot on. Everything was served on time with no delays at all — food and drinks alike. You could clearly see that the staff were monitoring everything closely, making sure dishes were ready and served exactly when they should be. For starters, I had the Truffle Chicken — very fresh, perfectly warm, and real comfort food. For the main, I chose the Clucker Burger, which was an absolute sensation. The combination of flavours was perfectly balanced and worked incredibly well together. For dessert, I had the Black Forest Cheesecake — a real innovation, something completely different from a traditional cheesecake and a lovely, refined way to finish the meal. All of my colleagues also agreed that the food was fantastic. The attention to detail throughout the whole experience was at a very high level. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back.
the woodman

The Woodman -

Rating: 4.4 /5
Alex Smirnov A charming, historic country pub and restaurant dating back to the 17th century, set just outside Chipping Ongar in rural Essex. Traditionally furnished with oak beams and a welcoming inglenook fireplace, The Woodman offers a warm and cosy atmosphere perfect for lunch, dinner or a relaxed drink. The menu features hearty home-cooked British classics, daily specials and beloved Sunday roasts, alongside a well-chosen selection of ales, wines and spirits. With outdoor seating, family-friendly facilities and occasional live events, it’s a favourite local destination for meals, meet-ups and celebrations.
14 stories

14 Stories - City of London

Rating: 4.5 /5
Samanta Grinberga I visited 14 Stories in 2024 to celebrate my birthday and it was such a lovely experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was amazing, I genuinely felt like a special guest. The staff were sophisticated, attentive, and very knowledgeable, which really elevated the whole experience. The rooftop views of London were stunning, and the interior was just as impressive; beautifully designed, elegant, and very aesthetic. It was a beautiful rooftop dining experience, not just for the views but for the overall atmosphere too. It is on the more expensive side, but for a special occasion we didn’t mind at all. We didn’t go overboard and spent around £65 per person, and everything was beautifully presented and genuinely delicious. The place was spotless, well presented, and it was clear the staff take real pride in what they do. We managed to capture some gorgeous photos, and I was even surprised with a small birthday dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch. I’d absolutely love to return and really indulge in the cocktails and explore more of the menu. I’d highly recommend this for a more sophisticated occasion — whether that’s with friends, family, or for a fancy date. Definitely a memorable experience.
sessions arts club

Sessions Arts Club - City of London

Rating: 4.2 /5
Inger Margrete Hansen Where do I even begin? After years on my list, Sessions Arts Club more than lived up to the anticipation. Set within the grand rooms of the Old Sessions House, the space itself feels steeped in memory — high ceilings, history in the walls, and a sense that time moves differently once you’re inside. The duck pâté and cheese platter were standouts, rich and deeply satisfying, and beautifully matched with an exceptional wine selection. It’s clear that wine here is not an afterthought but a philosophy. Their Lost Wines series captures that perfectly: bottles rescued from forgotten cellars, restored with care, and given a second life. Knowing that the glass in front of you carries a story, only deepens the experience. A truly special evening — and one I’m already planning to repeat.
